My wife and I caught an interesting movie last night: Bella. Still not sure it was worth the $10 (what movie is) but it did have a compelling and redemptive story, great cast (except for the female lead), and an eclectic soundtrack. Here’s the story in a nutshell:
An international soccer star, Jose, is on his way to sign a multi-million dollar contract when a series of events unfold that bring his career to an end. A waitress struggling to make it in New York City discovers something about herself that she is unprepared for. In one irreversible moment, their lives are turned upside down until a simple gesture of kindness brings them together, turning an ordinary day into an unforgettable experience…Bella is a heartwarming story of friendship, family and our capacity for love in the face of the unexpected.
You can watch the trailer here.
The film was produced by Metanoia Films (anybody know what that word means?), a small production company committed to producing quality films that will engage people’s hearts and minds.
Have any of you seen the film? I would love to hear your impressions. If you haven’t you might want to check it out this weekend.
Stay connected…
